Network Interpreting Service, Inc. - American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Service

Since 1988 Network Interpreting Service has been coordinating American Sign Language interpreting services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing individuals.

We came to fruition in San Diego California. Our main call/scheduling center is located in Southern Idaho with additional local coordinators in specific regions.

The President’s name is Cliff Hanks. He is a certified interpreter with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and is involved with the day-to-day affairs of the business. He divides his time among working in the office, interpreting and supporting business operations.

Angela Jones, another nationally certified interpreter and immediate past president of the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is the Vice President. She has been with NIS since 1993. She oversees and supports all aspects of the operation.

Network Interpreting Service coordinates and provides video remote and in person American Sign Language interpreting services in the United States for medical, government, legal, educational, business, convention, and personal settings. Our services are uniquely focused in California, (San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, Temecula, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Atascadero, Central Coast, San Luis Obispo), Central Illinois (Springfield, Jacksonville, Bloomington, Champaign, Decatur, Peoria) Northern Nevada (Reno, Carson City, Fernley, Elko), Northern Arizona (Flagstaff, Sedona, Williams, Winslow), Idaho, (Boise, Twin Falls, Gooding, Burley, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Coeur d' Alene) Utah (Salt Lake City, Ogden, Orem, Provo), Oregon (Eugene) Colorado (Denver, Colorado Springs). We are continuing to expand and we do have resources available beyond these geographical areas of focus. We use a balance of staff and freelance ASL interpreters to meet our objective of outstanding service. NIS is an Organizational Member of Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and we have highly skilled RID certified interpreters on staff.
